SLCBC Policy Resolution on Healthcare

WE ARE SEEKING YOUR VOTE FOR OUR SLCBC SPONSORED POLICY RESOLUTION:

“SUSTAINING THE CANADIAN HEALTHCARE SYSTEM INTO 2018 AND BEYOND”

In May, an online survey was sent to 23,000 registered Senior Liberals across Canada seeking grassroots input to the top issues respondents believed to be of greatest importance to the Liberal Party for the 2019 election.  A similar survey was conducted in the Kelowna-Lake Country riding in June.

More than 56% of responses cited Healthcare as the top issue for the 2018 Biennial Policy Convention and the 2019 election; specifically, the need to strengthen healthcare across Canada through:

  1. better access to family doctors and healthcare services
  2. reduced wait times for specialists and medical procedures
  3. innovation to reduce costs and achieve more efficient delivery of services
